El Centro

The Chicano Latino Resource Center seeks to improve the retention of Chicano/Latino students on the University of California, Santa Cruz campus by providing a variety of services that include:

  • Academic Support

  • Student Leadership /Development Opportunities

  • Chicano/Latino networking opportunities

  • Student success course
  • Cultural Activities

Sharing Space with the Ethnic Resource Centers El Centro provides a comfortable space for students who are interested in connecting with other Chicano/Latino Students, student organizations, faculty and staff, as well as other opportunities for campus involvement. El Centro has computers available for student use and is available for student organization meetings. The Ethnic Resource Centers, which includes El Centro, also have a lounge where students can come to watch T.V., socialize, and have student organization meetings.
