Student Grievance Process Student Grievance Process A student grievance exists when a student claims that a violation, misapplication, or misinterpretation of a UC Santa Cruz policy, procedure, or practice has occurred. The grievance process policy exists as a means for students to resolve complaints and grievances in an expeditious and fair manner. Should a condition exist that a student feels is in violation of the rules, procedures, policies, or other standards of the University, it is important that he or she bring it to the attention of the appropriate person or committee. During the process of a grievance, all procedures, meetings, names, and related information will be confidential unless otherwise mutually agreed upon by all the parties involved. A student filing a grievance should follow the procedures outlined in Section 110.00 of the Student Policies and Regulations Handbook. Student grievances are received by the Office of Student Judicial Affairs For more information, please contact your College Administrative Officer, the deanofstudents@ucsc.edu or the sja@ucsc.edu. Academic Integrity and Academic Grievance Process For the complete academic integrity policy, including the academic grievance process, please visit the Academic Integrity Website. Information is included for undergraduate and graduate students.
